Small group leadership and service club.
Torch Clubs are chartered small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11-13. A Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can help meet the special character development needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their development. Torch Club members learn to elect officers and work together to implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community, education, health and fitness and social recreation. The Torch Club Awards are presented annually to Torch Clubs with outstanding programs and activities in the four areas. Each year, Torch Club members from all over the country take part in a service-learning experience through the National Torch Club Project.
The Ultimate Teen Program
Keystoning is the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s most dynamic teen program. It affords teens an opportunity to gain valuable leadership and service experience. They conduct activities in three areas: academic success, career exploration and community service. Aaron's Inc. sponsors the Keystone Club program as part of a multi-year teen initiative; a strategic partnership between Aaron's Inc. and BGCA provides Clubs with the tools and resources to create a positive place for teens as well as for kids.

The science of everday.
DIY STEM is a hands-on, activity-based STEM curriculum which connects youth aged 9-12 to science themes they encounter regularly. Special attention is paid to connections of theory and application and the common interactions members have with these scientific principles. DIY STEM currently includes five modules: Energy and Electricity, Engineering Design, Food Chemistry, Science of Sports: Football.
Making learning fun!
Making Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. Printed program materials include a resource guide for program coordinators, homework helpers and tutors and a poster-sized Power Points chart for tracking and rewarding participants’ progress.
Gaining real job experience in a club setting.
Junior Staff is an easy-to-use program for Club teens ages 13 to 18. This program will provide your Club staff and volunteers with tools to guide young people in preparing for a career in Boys & Girls Clubs and/or other service professions. Through participation in Junior Staff, teens will develop interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and a sense of community engagement while experiencing on-the-job Club work.
Summer learning that's fun!
Summer learning loss has a devastating effect on America's kids, especially those who don't participate in enriching summer activities. That's why Boys & Girls Clubs of America is pleased to share Summer Brain Gain – a fun, interactive learning program designed for summer in the Club!

Healthy Habits is the "Mind" component of the Triple Play program. The Healthy Habits curricula is designed to teach young people about the benefits of developing healthy habits such as eating smart and being physically active; equip young people with skills to adopt healthier habits by participating in fun and engaging learning activities both at the Club and at home; and encourage young people to take small steps toward positive behavior changes.

Triple Play, BGCA’s comprehensive health and wellness initiative, strives to improve the overall health of members, ages 6-18, by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships. Since the Triple Play initiative was introduced in 2005, more than one million Club members have participated in fun fitness activities. The Triple Play initiative, sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company and The Anthem Foundation, nurtures the minds, bodies and souls of Club members.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
The SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves program is a nationally acclaimed prevention program originally developed in the 1980s with help from prevention specialists and Clubs around the country. Newly revised in 2011, the program incorporates the latest information and approaches that BGCA has learned about effective prevention. Participants will be exposed to various activities designed to hone their decision-making and critical-thinking skills, as well as learn how to avoid and/or resist alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and premature sexual activity.

SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls in three age groups. Through dynamic sessions, highly participatory activities, field trips and mentoring opportunities with adult women, Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values as they build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, getting good health care and developing positive relationships with peers and adults.
A journey to help you prepare for a positive adulthood.
Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 8-17. Passport to Manhood consists of 14 sessions, each of which concentrates on a specific aspect of manhood through highly interactive activities. Each Club participant receives his own “passport” to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of maturation and growth. Passport to Manhood represents a targeted effort to engage young men in discussions activities that reinforce positive behavior. Passport to Manhood is an excellent complement to SMART Girls.
Enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and an appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts, and creative writing.

MusicMakers, a music education program resource for Clubs, was developed in collaboration with BGCA, along with NAMM, The International Music Products Association. This program resource, is designed as a flexible program resource for Clubs that includes a helpful guide, standalone teen component, and four display posters to help you get the word out and generate excitement among Club members.
Engaging youth in drama and theater.
TNT DramaMatters Afterschool, a drama education program for Clubs, was developed in collaboration with Turner Network Television. TNT DramaMatters Afterschool is a flexible resource for Clubs designed to raise awareness about the benefits of drama education. Lessons in Stagecraft, a supplemental DramaMatters guide, teaches advanced participants in drama about set design, set building, stage lighting, costumes, stage make-up and directing. It offers Club member's different ways for them to express themselves creatively in hopes that they will discover a behind-the-scenes role in a production.
